Fits a Rossi R92 357/38
This scope mount fit a Rossi R92 357/38 after removing the rear semi-buckhorn rear sight perfectly. The 4 holes in the mount aligned with the existing holes drilled and tapped in the barrel, and the radius on the bottom of the mount matched exactly with the top of the barrel. Unlike a previous reviewer with the same model Rossi R92 357, I didn't have any problem with the included screws bottoming out in the holes.Rossi either drilled and tapped deeper holes, or the provided screws are shorter now.I put Vibra-Tite thread lock on the screws after degreasing the screws and holes with some rubbing alcohol.Update: The base can be mounted with the side with the bottom relief cutout, intended to clear the higher surface of the receiver, pointing toward the muzzle end. This allows you to mount a red dot optic further away from your eye. The longer distance will give you better accuracy, especially on longer shots. There is no difference in the radius of the mounting surface of this base front or back, it's the same.

Wish it was stainless - otherwise it's perfect
I have a SS Rossi 92 in .357. Perfect for the truck. Max effective range for that set up is 100 yds so I wanted to add a sight to make sure I could hit what I aimed at. Added a Monstrum sight (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BX2GGKM8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1). Perfect eye relief (normally a problem with lever actions) also has an included peep sight that was very easy to set up for when you don't want/need the optical. I really like the Rossi 92. Cut 4.5 inches off the magazine spring, honed the feed door and ramp and have been blasting away without issues ever since. This base is nearly indestructible sand allows all kinds of "tacticool" stuff to be added on

Proper fit
Good quality even if they are only aluminum

Well made.
Well made screws are too long I had to grind them down to make them fit. That's the reason for 4 stars.

Scope mount for a R92 44.mag
Ordered this taking a chance and it fits perfect on my R92 .44 mag just make sure and clean the screws and the holes with alcohol first to get the grease off then don't forget to use some Red Loctite and torque them down. Then mount up whatever it is you plan on using I went with a Red dot for now it helps with these old eyes ..lol

Finally.... a fit.
Finally.... after trying multiple mounts that 'claim' to fit the CONTENDER series, this one seems to be the right choice. When I bought into the Thompson CONTENDER series back in the '70s, there were 27 different barrel choices, and only a few scope mounts durable for the growing list of cannons that were being drilled. One of the most sought after, and most weird today, was the .256 Winchester. My two barrels in that caliber are still rocking and the Weaver 92A allows me to put red dots on that screaming cartridge. The mount doesn't look like much, but it works, is solid, and when you need a platform to mount just about ANYTHING, it gets the job done. Even my 30-30 barrel has yet to throw its scope.

Elevation
The rail mached the screw holes perfectly. The problem is it doesn't match the barrel taper. The scope I mounted on the rail tips down in the front and I'm not able to sight it in. I have turned the adjustment on the scope for hight as far as it will go. I'm going to try lower rings but I'm very skeptical.
