Traditional Medicinals Organic Nighty Night Relaxation Tea

My two favorite bedtime teas are this one, and the version with Valerian: http://www.amazon.com/Traditional-Medicinals-Nighty-Valerian-wrapped/dp/B007IW25FQ Both are great, but your individual preference/tolerance will dictate which one suits you more. The Valerian one definitely has a stronger sedative effect. I usually take it on Friday nights when I want to sleep in on Saturday and catch up on sleep. The valerian root is very helpful, but on the downside, for me it has a pronounced lingering drowsiness, and it gets worse the more days I take this tea in a row. The instructions claim you can take a few cups of it before bedtime, but I think that's crazy. Just one cup of it makes me feel half asleep well into the afternoon the next day. So, if you aren't looking for something that strong, this particular tea is more suitable. It has a great chamomile taste, and does calm me and get me ready to sleep, though the effect is not nearly as pronounced as the Valerian version. On the other hand, I never feel groggy the next day. I've struggled with falling asleep quickly ever since I was a child, and these teas really do help. I've tried other supplements like 5-HTP and melatonin, but found that neither is right for me. Melatonin sometimes ironically makes me unable to sleep or gives me nightmares, and 5-HTP just makes me feel like I'm drunk/buzzed all the time.

This works! I make a small cup every night - te-use the bag once...and definitely Helps with falling asleep easily. This tea contains Valarian; so please do your research before you give it a try; just in case you may have an issue. This tea can also be used as a simple calming tea - but valerian is a powerful herb and Remember to use caution. The only negative for me is the smell - Valerian Stinks! Like 'dirty feet' - and so; warn your friends & family when you sit down to sip an evening cup! (Smile) I buy this in case lot to save even more $ I'd reccomend this product to help you get to sleep

It doesn’t really put you to sleep but it definitely relaxes you.

These were a gift for a very dear friend who has cancer. I had previously given her a goodie box & included 1 box of the Nighty Night Tea. A few weeks ago she told how much she liked it & she had used up that box. I know that she has difficulty sleeping at times, so I looked at what you had available & I liked this bundle. I ordered it for her & had it delivered to her. She was so thrilled. She told me how relaxing this tea is & how much she enjoys it. I felt really good knowing I had given her something she really enjoys & that helps her get a good nights sleep. I highly recommend this tea. This is one of my favorite teas that I’ve enjoyed for about 5 years. Traditional Medicinals makes fabulous teas, they’re so smooth, so flavorful & helps me relax. I highly recommend this flavor because of it’s relaxing & calming effect at bedtime.

I started using Nighty Night about 2 weeks ago to help with my insomnia, and it is making a world of difference! For anyone suffering from chronic insomnia like I have for years, try this product. My daughter told me how it helped her for occasional bouts of sleeplessness, but my problem is more severe than hers, and I'm so glad I listened to her! I'm now able to fall asleep easily within 30 minutes of drinking this tea. I let it steep for 14-15 minutes, and the flavor is very pleasant. I add just a tiny bit of sugar to sweeten it. Soon after I finish it, I'm yawning and ready for bed! I'm sleeping through the night again, and even if I wake up, I'm having much less trouble falling back to sleep than ever before. I have not taken anything for my insomnia other than melatonin, and I think this works better than that! Couldn't be happier now that I'm getting some quality shut-eye! I highly recommend this product!

This tea is great! I have been under a lot of stress lately, and this tea has definitely helped me get to sleep. I have been drinking it for about a month now as needed. I feel like I sleep a bit more deeply when I drink this, which I have attributed to being more relaxed at bedtime. It is not a miracle, but I think that the tea itself along with the routine of having it before bed really helps me to relax. Make sure you steep it as directed for 10-15minutes. I have noticed that if I do not cover my cup to keep the heat in the tea does not come out as strong. I didn't give it 5 stars only because the flavor is not my favorite. Its nice for sure, but a bit mild for me. It is a better and more complex flavor than any other nighttime relaxation tea I have tried. I prefer to either make a strong cup or sometimes I steep it with a bag of chamomile tea as well which makes a very nice flavor. I typically have one cup an hour before bed and another while I sit in bed and read right before I go to sleep. After the first cup I feel more calm, after the second cup I feel drowsy and ready for sleep! I bought the case of six because I have enjoyed this product so much!

I been drinking this tea for many years. I have a terrible case of insomnia. I do use other sleep aids in addition to the tea. The tea relaxes me so that the other meds work better. Passionflower was recommended by one of my son's doctor for insomnia. So when I discovered this tea, I was excited to try it. Nights where nothing is working ( I told you it was bad!) or I wake up and can't go back to sleep, I'll have another cup of tea, which usually helps. I can't describe the taste, but it's pretty good.

There's absolutely no other tea that I enjoy more than a nice warm cup of Nighty Night before I go to bed. I've tried numerous different "relaxation" teas, but none really made much difference to my unfortunate habit of waking at 2:00 or 3:00 am. Further, most tasted either bland or vile (granted, I don't care for the taste of chamomile at all). But this tea is different - tasty when enjoyed, and afterward you think "This isn't doing anything to help me sleep", but the next thing you know, your alarm is going off the next day. A full night of restful sleep! Imagine! Yep, I've never had any other tea that worked its magic so well. Granted, I go for a small cup (no need to be woken up by the "Bladder Fairy" because you drank liquid too late at night), but other than that, I would be glad to enjoy this tea throughout the day. But I don't dare to! Try it in the evening, you'll like it...
