During the summer we spend a lot of time up at my in-law's lake condo, and love to have outdoor games. The first time I played this was at my sister's place, and after playing it we knew we needed it for our house so we play it and take it up to the lake house. My in-laws loved it so much that they ordered one for themselves. It's a great way to get everyone involved to have some fun, and if you have little kids they love being able to throw the big dice. The dice fit perfectly in the bag that is provided along with the two game sheets that came with it. This was a perfect buy for our family.

These are well-made, smooth, and appear to be sturdy, 'tho I left that rating blank because it's too soon to know. The game instructions are clearly written & score sheets are very well-designed for readability and re-usability. I was a tad disappointed that there was one die with a significant difference in wood-tone -- but that might be intentional, since Farkle uses all 6 dice and Yardzee uses only 5. I also wonder why there is no varnish or sealant on the giant dice.The family I gave these to at Christmas received them with joy! They will be a fun way to get out and play when weather permits. To add to the fun, I also gave them the indoor versions of the same 2 classic dice games (Yahtzee and Farkle.) The kids' mom figured out quickly that they could even play in-and-out doors, connecting via smartphones. I never thought of that!

Perfect. Exactly what I was looking for.I lost both games, miserably...Don't buy the expensive laminated directions and scorecard sold elsewhere. This set comes with them.Nice quality wood.No sharp edges. Nicely finished.The "branded" dots aren't very deep and are already (one game) showing signs of wear.They aren't finished with anything.They now have fingerprints all over them that won't clean off.I'm sure if we'd played on grass they'd be all green - permanently.We played in a 6x8 exterior carpet we put down on our cement patio for the game.I suggest carpet (or maybe cardboard - like a freezer box) to keep from dinging or dingying them up.In cement, they get all beat up. On grass, I think they'd be all free.I don't think they would work at the beach (wouldn't land flat).If I ever get another set, I'd seal them with some kind if wood sealer when new.Get a two gallon (white) bucket in the paint department of your favorite hardware or paint store.Use it as the cup to pour them out,
