how can i tell if i got the expansion packs?

In the basic version, there is space filled by a hollow box advertising the expansion pack. If your Muffin Time box is completely full without that "divider," you have the expansion

Are there any major changes between the 2021 version and the 2020 version of the game? I bought the original version and the expansion on release.
