A sweet and touching story about love, loss and family, With just a touch of magic.
This particular story is a favorite of mine. I thought it would make the perfect gift for a relative of mine who enjoys reading manga. It arrived quickly and was in good condition. If you enjoy graphic novels along with sweet but slightly sad love stories this is definitely a book worth looking into.

As wild and beautiful as a mother's love.
This book and the movie it originates from are going to be the main reason I end up having kids, soon.At first, it seems a sort of fantasy story. A young woman falls in love with a wolf-man. That's been seen enough nowadays to seem like the beginning of a romance. But it's not just that, and is, in fact, only slightly a romance. The real focus of this story is the titular children, Ame and Yuki, the the son and daughter of a normal human woman and a wolf man. It's a perfect mother's tale, spanning her relationship with the father, and then on to her never-ending efforts to raise her unique children. Hana, the mother, is determined to raise her children so that they can choose to be whatever they want, and not simply in the traditional way of having their dream job; she wants Ame and Yuki to choose whether they are humans, wolves, or both. In order to do so, they move into the near-wilds of a struggling farming community, joining in with her neighbors on growing enough to survive. The children thrive in the wilderness, and also in the local school, their two worlds available for the final choice on how they will live their lives. If you've seen the movie, this is a must-have. There's a few extra pages at the end that will make you cry all over again. ;)

A Must-Have Amazing Story
I am a huge fan of the film and I also have the Japanese paperback novel of Wolf Children. So, when this omnibus edition arrived, I was ecstatic! The book is 550 pages long with beautiful illustrations and bonus color pages interspersed throughout. It recounts the story of Hana's encounter with a 'werewolf' and her life with her children (Ame and Yuki). Conpared to the movie, the book rushes through the time spent between Hana and the man she falls in love with-which is unfortunate. However, there are scenes in this book which do not occur in the movie--this adds to the depth in the bonds between Ame and Yuki and between Hana and her children. Whether you're a parent or not, by the end of the story, you'll end up in tears knowing how Hana gives it her all for her children. The story conveys the challenges and emotions of a parent as they watch their children learn, mature, and leave. It's about life: all the the love, pain, joy, sadness, hard work, and obstacles associated with life.Whether or not you've seen the movie, this is a must-have hardcover omnibus edition of Wolf Children Ame & Yuki!!!Note: The book arrives in a box with not much protection at all. Luckily mine arrived with only a little damage to the hard cover.

Amazing story a must have manga
This is the full series of wolf children on one hardcover manga book. It came fast and in perfect condition and the story was amazing. I personally would be very interested in a sequel if one ever came out, because there are some things id like to see that go in answered in the manga and seeing more of the kids being grown ups and maybe having they’re own wolf children family would be an interesting sequel, plus we never really found out what and how the father wound up passing, things like that would be cool to be answered in a sequel and such. But obviously as a stand-alone book it still checks all the boxes! Very fun, bit sad, heartwarming story.

AN ABSOLUTE MUST-HAVE!
I purchased this item not really knowing what to expect, but being a huge fan of the movie I pre-ordered it and decided to just wait and see. What finally arrived at my doorstep was beyond amazing.Words cannot express my joy when I received this gorgeous omnibus edition of the adapted Wolf Children manga series. All of the original volumes are contained in a single hardcover, including some nice notes from the artist. The illustrations are simply stunning. In true manga style, the book is designed to be read from back to front and right to left. It begins and ends with bonus color pages too (giving it a lovely cohesive feel), while the rest is in traditional black and white. The film has been translated beautifully to the page. I am so excited to experience Hosoda's story again in this format--as manga fans know, the medium is captivating in its own right. Throw the incredible tale of Wolf Children into the mix, and it's magic! This is a real must-have for anyone who longs to relive the journey of this truly unique and wonderful family.

and having really enjoyed the movie and seeing a glimpse at what the ...
I purchased this a while back when it first came out but never reviewed. For shame!I saw this advertised on a site, and having really enjoyed the movie and seeing a glimpse at what the pages and art looked like, I had the urge to buy it and read through. I wasn't necessarily going in blind, but I didn't know the artists other works or their style of conveyance, however the tid bits I saw was enough to convince me to get it. I'm so glad I did! It's actually a pretty darn big book, but it's easy to get past it once you start into it. The art style is charming and closely related to how the movie was. As far as a mange novel this goes, it's fantastic. I love it to bits. Would highly recommend for a fan of Wolf Children or anyone interested in the story!
