Keyed Patio Sliding Door Lock, with Steel Bolt, Aluminum Finish

Good quality, great service, great price, nice and secure, super easy installation. I ordered it, it came, it fit, what's not to like?

Sturdy deadbolt considering its size and price point. When placing unit on upper door edge corner of interior side of wood-framed sliding glass patio door, it's difficult to find a portable power drill with a chuck diameter small enough to provide sufficient clearance to align the 1/2"hole in the door frame header with the steel rod. Also, the two mounting screws used to secure the lock's body to the door edge might be too short to prevent it being pried off during an intrusion-I substituted 2 1/2" #10 stainless wood screws. I mounted these units on three doors and am pleased with the result. In locked position, it might be difficult for children to unlock unit in an emergency. This item is an asset in a "layered" defense against intrusion when accompanied by a security bar, sturdy lockset and a 9mm.

great idea and secure. we bought to use at our cottage. used only a few times and the lock keeps sticking. lubed it up, and still does not work. i assume just poor quality. that said, i might have just got a bad one. locked fine when i bought but 6 month later when i opened it, it was a struggle. for the rest of summer had issues... naturally i cannot return after so many days....

Not for my use case. This is meant of gates but can be used for indoor doors. the bolts can get stuck. I would not recommend for a place, if it gets exposed to extreme weather conditions as bolt could get easily stuck and you will be in a difficult situation unable to open the gate.

Seems to be quality, although I had to modify the mounting that went to the door frame. It wasn't nearly long enough to go past the trim work. The triangular shaped piece needs to be about 3/4 to 1" longer to be able to secure it to the door frame not just the trim.Works good overall.

I exit my home using my sliding door, frequently. This allows me to lock the house.

I had one that was actually on my front door, and when I went to look at local hardware stores found they no longer sold.. happy that I found on Amazon!Easy install, comes with multiple hardware ( different size screws ) . Clean set up.

product was as advertised, instructions were very vague and took a little studying to install, watch out for the little wire clips as they can fall out during unpacking and installation, they can be hard to find-I know! But product works perfectly and is what I needed.
