Can you put this film over a glass screen protector?

YES!! I did it over the ESR tempered-glass protector with zero issues! The touch recognition, visibility, and responsiveness to fingers & apple pencil 2.0 is 100% fine! I feel so much more comfortable writing on my tablet. (Even though I know this question is old, I'm answering in hopes that it will help someone else.)

Are there plans on making a second model of this screen protector that doesn't interfere with Face ID?

This is the updated version compatible with Face ID and Apple pencil. The early version inventories all were destroyed on the first day. So this is the correct version now.

How is the lag of the matte protector?

I notice no lag. If anything I feel like I can write smoother with it on. Much better than the glass protectors

It is designed specifically to work with the Apple Pencil. It creates more traction so the pen is easier to use and feels more like real paper.
