BLACK+DECKER 20V MAX Cordless String Trimmer and Edger with Spool, Battery and Charger Included, 2 Speed, 12 Inch (LST522)

This is about the fourth or fifth B&D trimmer I've had. All have done a good job and given several years of service. I buy the cheaper, non-OEM batteries and spools (also from Amazon). Hard to find a better deal for the $$.

Love this trimmer- easy to assemble and it is only 5 pounds which is much lighter than most trimmers and since I am very old this was a perfect choice

Pros: B&D puts out a decent product.The two speeds is a plus.The adjustable handle bar, and all the buttons on the handle are decently located.Did a run on my back yard and knocked out 80% in 1/2 hour, 20% left for next week.Price is competitive, and added Asurion insurance is a big help.Battery output time is good, with some to spare. Also like the idea that batteries from the old whacker (20V) will work on this new one. 1st charge took a while, but that is normal for first time use. Now I have two chargers and 4 batteries total.. that should take care of the mid-summer whacking time.Instructions for how to use the whacker are helpful, especially how to rotate the wheel and cover in order to do edging.Cons:Instructions are loopy, to say the least, and print is, as usual on most products these days, small.The pictures are on one page, with instructions on subsequent pages. Would like to see the instructions with pictures together, instead of having to turn the page back and forth, and increase the font by 2 (instead of an 8, how about 10 or even 12. An extra page in the booklet would be nice.We shall see, in the weeks to come, how this product performs. I will give 5 stars when the instruction booklet is made to be readable (without a magnifying glass) and edited to be more functional.

Love this Black and Decker trimmer/edger. It is well priced and easy to operate.

Best trimmer I have ever owned in my life. I am very surprised at its performance.The string does not last long but the cartridges are easy to replace.

Had one before and, now that we have a home again and not a townhouse, needed it again. Love it!

If you get two years out of this and want to spend a fair amount time feeding line, buy this. I wish I wouldn't have bought this.I would not buy another B&D product. Huge pain to string the new line and unless you're standing at a perfect angle, you'll get hit in the legs with debris.Pass.
