Great tires, great traction on all surfaces
Really tacky tires on all surfaces. Packed dry dirt, post rain dirt surfaces, pavement, etc!Max is makes some of the best tires

Good tires for xc bikes in California
Our Canyon Lux XC bike came with Maxxis Ikon (front) and Aspen (rear). The tires were fine in winter but they apparently don't work well in summer for California. The trails are quite loose here in summer. It works a lot better after we switched to Rekon tires.
