Mishimoto Baffled Oil Catch Can, Red

Hose and fittings are not the right size for all vehicles.
I think the hose is 1/2 inch and the inlet/outlet barbs are made to fit that (the product pages dont say this anywhere in the description, which Mishimoto should change asap). my vehicle, and im sure many others use 3/8ths" from the PCV.the box was nice, and it included some (wrong size) hose and fittings. it seems a lot of care was taken to make the kit nice, present it well, and provide what the installer needs, but in reality ended up falling well short, as I had to go to a hose supply store and buy some $25 or so of ugly brass fittings/adapters to make this kit work.My suggestion to Mishimoto: immediately add descriptions about the size of hose and fittings it comes with to all official product page descriptions. next, develop the same nice color and quality of fittings in 3/8ths size. offer that as a different kit with its own page, or have customers choose the size option when buying the kit and have a different SKU for different size kits (for example, how you select shirt or shoe sizes when buying online, you have to pick the size you need before adding to cart.) this could give your customer the much easier installation experience you clearly intended for them to have.the can itself and the fittings it came with are super high quality, designed and machined really well. the packaging and extra parts are a thoughtful addition to make installation easy, its just a shame its probably a bunch of wrong stuff for many customers and this could be avoided with some simple changes from their end.next complaint (minor): how am i supposed to help you advertise your product if you dont put any stickers in the box?!?! K&N has probably sold more air filters from the stickers they include than anything else. takes notes, guys! put in one for the toolbox and one for the car. its free advertising, and helps make your brand a household name. we all know stickers add 5 Horsepower each, too...so now my car is slower than it should be. :(Bottom Line: would I buy this product again, or recommend it to a friend: yes. the can itself, again, is super high quality and better than the cheapo garbage cans the competition is selling. aside from being high quality, its very aesthetically pleasing. I would just advise friends to check the hose sizes in their car and be ready to spend some extra cash to get the parts to make it work. this might be a real hassle if they dont have some kind of hose supply store near them that sells this stuff. it would be a real pain if you had to order it all and hope you got the right parts.

Well constructed and efficient design, but could be bigger and include stainless hardware
The bronze element is a great addition to this catch can design. The can very effectively condenses contaminants out of the air that passes through. It's so effective that it requires a closer eye to make sure that it doesn't overflow (unless you have a permanent drain setup).I have three minor complaints:- the can could be a little bit bigger to accommodate more fluid (especially considering the can's effective design).- the hardware inside the can should be stainless but isn't, and I've noticed rust forming on the nut that secures the baffling inside the can- they should sell a cheaper can that doesn't include the crappy throwaway hoses and nipple fittings

Great Quality. Does the job.
Put 2 of these on my F10 M5 to fix the blow-by issues I had. Looks good and does the job it’s intended to do. They give you plenty of hose as you can see I fitted the cans pretty far from the PCV connections. Comes nicely organized in a well padded box. Just keep in mind they are pretty big so make sure you have the room in your engine bay.

👍🏼
Good product. The box it comes in is a little over the top and makes you feel like it’s quality. Just seems a little pricey for the actual product itself. It’s the only one I’ve ever owned and maybe it just what think. It’s a little fancy if your just looking for something basic/get the job done.

Precision
I ordered two of them for my 2015 Optima SXL. These are one of the best looking and quality items I have purchased for my car so far. The extra money is well worth it. The baffled design works like it should and you don't have to deal with steel wool like most of its competitors. If you like quality parts and want the best for your ride, just buy them.
