Working great with Yoga 2 Pro!
I do not have an older type Lenovo charger, but I do have a nice Tekkeon MP3450 external battery pack I wanted to be able to use with my Y2P. Tekkeon offers many adapter tips, but they do not yet have one for the X1/Y2P rectangular power jack. Tekkeon does offer the tip for the older Lenovo 7.9x5.5 mm jack. It is tip PA-N09, in the unlikely event anyone has a Tekkeon battery. I am very happy that I can now use my external battery to get a couple of extra hours of use from my Y2P without having to worry about finding a convenient power outlet. Many battery packs designed for use with laptops, including mine, only offer up to 19V, but they will generally work just fine with devices like the Y2P even though the Y2P power supply outputs 20V.I should mention that perhaps because the Y2P adapter ouputs 20V vs the MP3450's 19V, the Y2P says "Plugged in. Not Charging.", but it definitely charges, just slower than the original charger. I ran the battery down to 84%, turned off the laptop, and plugged in the MP3450. Three and a half hours later when I turned it on, the battery was up to 92%. It is slow, but it is adequate for my purposes. It either keeps up or almost keeps up with internal battery drain when actively using the laptop. I worked for 30-45 minutes with the MP3450 plugged in, and the battery stayedd at 99%. I would guess that other battery packs that output 19V might demonstrate similar performance. Slower, but still useful. Like plugging an ipad into a regular usb port. It might not look like it is charging, but it probably is, just slowely. Sorry to get all detailed, but this is the kind of information I like to know about products.

Just what was needed for the Lenovo T440s
I upgraded from a Lenovo T410s to a T440s and was surprised that the power adaptors for the two Lenovo Thinkpads were incompatible. I have abou 5 power adaptors (power supplies) for my T410s and was upset that I might have to buy a whole new set of adaptors for all the locations I use my computer. Lenovo said there were no adaptors to convert the round T410s power plug to the new rectangle power plug & I would have to buy new power adaptors even thought the machines used the same 20VDC power.Fortunately I found this power converter cable on the web and at Amazon. It works GREAT for the T440s even though it is marketed for the ThinkPad X1 ! Now I can use the same power supply for both my T410s and T440s with this simple adaptor. It will save me a lot of money and aggravation.

Really poor build quality but love the concpet
I love the concept, as many people (including myself) happen to have plenty of old style Lenovo chargers, but unfortunately they don't fit the newest Lenovo laptops. This is great for reusing those older chargers, BUT they are not well built. So far, I've ordered them 3 times and they last less than 2 months each with relatively limited usage. Given the price it might be ok to buy and only keep on hand in case of an emergency where you need to borrow an older charger from someone.

decent durability - excellent customer service
Worked great when it was working. The first one I purchased in April is now 'broken'. the internal wiring is broken so that if you move it around it will sometimes work and other times it will not. Purchased in April and now 3 months later it isn't. I do not travel with this unit so the problem isn't due to packing it for travel. It sits connected to the AC adapter in my office and is used about 3 days a week. the other one was only purchased a month ago is still working (it remains at home).Update 8/11/14: after I wrote the review, I was contacted by the seller (Patazon) and they apologized and sent me a replacement unit at no cost. I've bumped them up to 3 stars for customer service and will wait a little longer to see how well these adapters last. As mentioned above I purchased it in April. I did purchase a second one in June (before the first one broke down)to use at home. I'll wait a few months to see how long they last before adding a 4th or 5th star.Update 4/13/15: both adapters are continue to work fine and very reliably so I've upgrade my rating to 5 stars and I would highly recommend their product. they stand by their product and of course occasionally there maybe one that isn't up to their standards but they promptly replaced it. I use the one I keep at home practically everyday and the other one at the office 3 or 4 times a week.Update 6/19/15: OK, of the two adapters the one I keep at home is now starting to have problems. At first I thought it was my AC power adapter but when I used it with a different AC adapter I has the same problem. I would see that my laptop was jumping from running on AC to running on battery. The problem is not in the connectors on each end of this adapter but rather the wiring in between. If I "bend" (i.e. position) the wire a certain way it will connect and run on AC while in other positions it will lose the connection and my T440s will run on battery (no AC reaching the laptop). I wish they would have simply made like this convert which is also from the same company: http://www.amazon.com/Patuoxun%C2%AE-Charger-ThinkPad-UltraBook-Notebook/dp/B00F4Q4J1Q/ref=pd_sim_147_5?ie=UTF8&refRID=0PXFYK5ERMSH12WRY5QK#Askwhich has no length of wire in-between the connectors to 'wear out'. I don't know why they need to make this one with a male connection but they should definitely change this one that I bought over to a similar design to eliminate a point of weakness. I've now see other units similar to this one but with a little shorter length of cable in-between. I may try one of them instead. Now have to drop it from 5 stars back down to 4 stars and change the title of this review from great durability to just decent durability.

Works, but doesn't fit well
Like many others, I personally and at work have several Lenovo power supplies from older machines like the X201, T400, etc. lying around. Now that I have a Lenovo Helix and a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga, along with an X230 and X220 I don't want to have to carry two power supplies in my bag since I switch which machines I carry all the time. This adapter allows me to just carry the older power supply and have it work with any of my machines.I ordered two of these. One of them sort of fit, but was very tight and hard to plug into the Yoga or Helix. I worried that it would make the standard plugs loose over time. The other didn't fit at all (I imagine if I pushed REALLY hard it would have gone in). Looking at it closely, the problem is not the metal contact / shield, it is the yellow plastic at the tip: it is too wide. It did not take long to fix them with an emery board (the type for fingernails). They both work great now, but I shouldn't have to file down the plastic to get it to fit. The price was right, but the accuracy / build quality was not up to par.
