Great little tool to help with small to medium sanding projects or with patching drywall
I bought this in desperation at the tail end of my lease, hoping to fix a rather large hole I'd accidentally put in the wall and patched up somewhat lumpily. I've never had any sort of sanding tool, and after hand sanding for years (which I hated), this was a million times easier to use. I'll never go without a hand sander again - it smoothed out that rough patch and got me my deposit back. Value 100% earned.I hear there are special cuts of sandpaper you can get that will fit these types of tools specifically, but I just cut or tear a standard size sandpaper sheet in half the long way and it works great. If you haven't used one of these before, it's the metal curved bits that are screwed down that will hold your sandpaper in. I (like a dolt) tried to puncture holes in the sandpaper over the screw base, only to find the paper isn't long enough to do that for both sides. Don't do that. This is definitely the ideal tool for patching up a bit of drywall, but it scales up great to small furniture projects too, with a bit of elbow grease. I used nothing but this sander to sand down my entire DIY farmhouse style 2x4 coffee table, and while it's not easy work, it's very effective and very comfortable in the hand to use for extended periods of time. The paper holds well throughout the entire process, and there's some sort of light cushioning along the paper that absorbs your force a bit and seems to keep things from sliding around - especially helpful when you're forcefully buffing out those bright blue lumber markings. All in all: a great addition to your toolbox, especially if you (like me) have only ever sanded with a piece of paper in your hands. You will not believe how much easier it is just with a hand sander, and especially one that's so comfortable in hand. I think they only other one of these I've ever encountered is one with a metal handle, and I couldn't imagine trying to do a whole coffee table with something like that - it'd be so uncomfortable. Wholeheartedly recommended.

Classy Tool
I really love this sander. It has a classic look to it and I figure if I'm going to be using something a lot it may as well be pretty. The wingnut setup can be a bit a fusturating when I'm feeling impatient but it holds the sandpaper securely so I'm not complaining. The handle allows for an even pass and I'm able to apply a good amount of force when needed. Just be aware of the sandpaper dimensions you order online... The smaller sheets aren't quite long enough for this guy. Not the sander's fault but worth mentioning.

Love it!
Extremely easy to use, and makes sanding about a million times less tedious than sanding by hand. Also good for when you don't want to sand too deep with an electric sander. In order to place the sand paper, you just unscrew the toggles at each end, slide your paper underneath, and re-tighten the screws. Then you're good to go.Have used this on a wooden gate and a bar top so far without any problems. Handle is comfortable and this product is very sturdy.

Sturdy
It can be hard to find a sturdy wall sander like this in hardware stores anymore. Everyone sells toy-like plastic ones. I was thrilled to find this on Amazon. Good, sturdy product.

Good handler, good size
Sanded a kitchen table. Like it. Especially the handler because it's wooden and has a good size.
