Pretty sure you do not need permission from AT&T to set up your own router and use their gateway as essentially just a cable modem. There are plenty of forums you can find with instructions on how to do this.

Does it have a bridge mode? I dont want to replace my firewalla as a router.

Yes, it does have VLAN bridge mode settings in the Admin section.
