Was Made for This
It works better than any other cheap mic I've tried. I've tried a Boya lav mic, and an old Sony mini-disc mic with trrs adapter. This seems to have a better dynamic range. It pics up better than the others - all the vowel sounds, and some consonant sounds - it is more sensitive at all gain levels. Sorta tempted to not return it.It has a pass-through for headphones. The goose-neck is thin and scarily flexible. I don't want to bend it too much. The 'freak by itself is thin, sleek, and rugged. With the mic, the volume of space it occupies gets bigger, you know?Do I sort of want to take it off? Yes. Will I leave it on and never use it? Probably. Will I be happy the one or two times I'll ever use it? Absolutely. If I decide to one day sell it, will I be like, "Aww dood, check out this mic!" or will I be like, "Aww dood, the mic for this is pretty decent if you can get it."Now we dolly back. Now we fade to black.

Must have for microfreak
Great for the vocoding feature on arturias micro freak. Input feature for your head phones was also very appreciated. This item should really be included in every microfreak as it enhances the experience infinitely on the synth..

The Gooser
I don't know what funner. Getting goosed or using the goose. nah but for real thing is curvy and you can twist it. works well when you use it for the micro freak boy. Other then that its good

Convenient Gooseneck
Did I NEED this? NoDo I still like it? Of courseYou can connect whatever 1/8" microphone you want to the MicroFreak, but I really wanted to see what this official one was all about. It works well, and it's convenient that it still has a port to connect headphones. If you really want an official product, I'd say go for it. If all you need is a mic, maybe grab some cheap headphones with a built in mic, they'll do the trick as well.

You need this if you have a microfreak.
With the latest update to the Arturia MicroFreak, you can use this microphone which plugs into the back to allow use of the vocoder feature. A great addition to a very powerful little device. If you have the MicroFreak, you want this. If you do not have a MicroFreak, then buy that too.

Good for Microfreak, not Minifreak
Arrived in great shape and clearly will work fine for a Microfreak! Unfortunately I ordered it thinking it would work on a Minifreak, but it was my fault for not checking. The Minifreak is a 1/4" input jack and this is a TRRS 3.5mm jack, so I'm hoping an adapter will solve the issue.

It’s worth it.
If you have any interest in vocoding and are using any other type of microphone, you’re struggling, stop it. you don’t realize how nice this makes it. (Aside from shipping taking a week delay! UPS fault) I’m extremely satisfied with the microMIC.
