Can the hot fix applicator be used on regular standard rhinestones?

I wouldn’t think so. The heat from the applicator activates the glue on the back of the hot fix rhinestones, making them stick. Regular rhinestones do not have glue and you would need to use E6000.

How do you reload glue?

You do not reload the glue the glue is on the stones. They have to be hot fix stones.

Will it stay on a metal water bottle and could it be washed?

Hotfix rhinestone diamond can not stay on a metal water bottle, it only stay on clothes,Leather, textile surface and it can be washed by hand.
