Pleasantly Surprised
Bought this for my '18 Rubicon JKU. Seems there are a lot of these types of things that are pretty jenky...loose, flaps in the wind. But this is the real deal. Fits snugly, doesn't flap around, and looks built pretty well. With a 5 year warranty, even if it breaks after that, toss it out and buy another one.It attaches to the Freedom top mounts on the front above the windshield, and then has about 5 or 6 bungy straps that hold the other 3 sides in place. The bungy straps basically have a loop that goes over or under the roll bar, and a strap with a T (reminds me of the old whale bone jacket hooks) that goes around the other side of the roll bar, and slides into the loop. The sun shade itself starts at the front at about the height of the U shaped steel mount for the Freedom top, goes up and over the middle roll bar tube (mine has speakers so it goes over the speakers too, and then continues back to the back roll bar pieces. The bungies hold it about half way up the roll bar in the back.Oddly, there are two holes in the Sun Shade, that appear to be lined up with the big turn screws that hold the back of the freedom top in place. I guess you could leave this on, with the Hard Top in place, but I think it would be a bear trying to get the twist clips for the Freedom Tops closed, especially the big ones that are above the sun visors. I think they could skip putting the two holes in the Sun Screen.I was worried that the reduction of height would be a problem for me (I'm 6'4"), but I have plenty of room (ball cap doesn't even rub on the screen). The material itself is very nice. It's kind of stiff, as is the bag, which probably helps to prevent flopping in the wind. I've had the thing for about a week. Today was about the windiest day I can remember. Actually had the doors off, and had to drive with a hand over my ear on the way home because ear drums were taking the full force of the wind. But the top stayed put and didn't flap around. The material is actually a mesh, so probably reduces the sun a little less than 50%. It still feels like open air, but cuts sun baking you, and the interior. I stayed out to long in the sun, and my arms were getting really sore. I noticed on the drive home, it was much more comfortable under the shade than not. So I guess it works. We'll see how the bungies do around the pads on the roll bars. That is pretty tough material too, so not expecting any problems. The one thing that I think I would have done differently, is the Velcro that goes around the U shaped steel Freedom top attachment in the front middle. The Opening in the U is about 2" wide, but the Velcro is only about 1" wide, and pretty short. Had trouble getting it to stay until all the bungies and straps were in place. I think I would have put a 2" piece of Velcro so it held better. Also there was actually 2 ,1" Velcro pieces spread apart by about 1". Guessing the other one might be for a different U Top mount setup. Kinda weird. Will also say the directions were not good. The words were not a great description, and the pictures reminded me more of that Rorschach ink blot tests than a useful picture. Couldn't make out anything. But honestly there isn't a lot that can be done wrong, so didn't use them. Could have saved the printing, and instead put a link to a real color photo online, or maybe even a video. Also the instructions seem to be really old. It listed compatibility something like 2007 thru 2012, so guessing the instructions haven't been updated in the last 10 years (also compatible with 2013 - 2018 JKU). Seemed like they have been making photo copies of this for the last 10 years :-)Overall, very happy with the product, one week into using it.

Amazing
i’ve purchased probably 5 to 6 different freedom Panel covers . None of them fit or they flapped too much in the wind.. until now. I have finally found the 1 that is absolutely perfect for my Jeep. and under fabrict it's not felt or some kind of other strange material. It's a nice soft fabric.. so shop no more if you’re looking for the perfect freedom panel cover because you have found it right here...

Just What I Wanted!!
First, a bit about which shade is which---the descriptions here can be confusing and the pictures don't always match up with the product you're ordering. For 2007-2015 Wranglers, 2 or 4 door, all the product numbers begin with 13579., followed by two digits which designate which body style and how much of that style the shade will cover. Here's the breakdown:.06 07-15 JK 2 door only. Covers from the windshield over the sound bar to the rear of the roll bars where they begin to turn down..04 07-15 JK or JKU (2 door OR 4 door.). Covers the front seat area only from the windshield to the sound bar. Shorter than the .06 version..05 07-15 JKU (4 door only.) Covers from the windshield all the way back to the rear cross bar, the one with the interior light attached to it. This is the one I purchased.I installed this on a 2013 Sahara Unlimited with soft top. I can't say how it will work with a hard top that has the removable panels. The instructions include specific directions for those with that configuration.Installation was easy. Took about 20 minutes. The bungee cords will work around any attachments you might have hanging off the roll bars. One suggestion: the instructions have you first attach the velcro tabs to the front "footmen" which are the brackets the soft top clamps onto. There's three footmen and there's 4 velcro tabs The footman at the center of the windshield gets 2 velcro tabs, the footmen where the top clamps go get one tab each. The instruction photos don't show the middle footman. Nor do they show the two bungee cords sewn into the front hem, each with a small plastic hook on the end. These hooks go into the footmen and add some rigidity to the front attachment of the shade. I suggest you make the front velcro tabs as tight as possible so that when you un-velcro them when re-latching the soft top (you have to do this in order to allow the top clamps to work) it makes them easier to redo the next time you put the top up.I would guess the shade blocks about 40-50% of the light, just enough to cut a blazing sun. On the road at highway speeds there is no noticeable flapping noise. In fact, my wife said it actually cuts the buffeting. I can't say how the bungees and the mesh will hold up long term to the effects of sunlight. Only time will tell, but the shade does come with a 5 year warranty. I like the fact you can keep the screen installed year-round even with the soft top in the "winter" position (down an latched.) Also, the shade will prevent sagging and water pooling if you cover the jeep in rainy weather. I find this a big plus.If you drive your Wrangler in the "open air" mode this shade looks to be just the ticket. Tight fit, economical and adds to the enjoyment of your open air motoring. A definite 5 star product!ETA 9-5-15Some factual errors in the original review (my bad, I missed one complete step):1. The instructions do indeed include reference to the center footman and how to attach the TWO velcro tabs, one of which may be cut off should you desire.2. Additionally the instructions do include reference to the bungee cords with hooks for attachment to the footmen. We just returned from 5 days in the Outer Banks which included a 2 1/2 hour trip to get there (and the same to return.) I am revising my star rating to SIX (6) Stars!!

Does what it says.
Product went on fairly easily. Works as it should. One thing they don’t make clear is that you can’t get to the latches for the freedom panels with the shade installed. Kind of irritating.
