We have been using Lugabug for past half year (with multiple international trips), and are amused by durability, compactness, and how handy it is at an airport. There has been many times the little ones legs are tired, and the price is such small thing to pay to not need to carry a child in arm with the luggage/stress you already have at airport.One of the buckle broke when we dropped the luggage by accident, so we reached out through email, and Jennie and Jon has been such a delight to talk to. This seat absolutely saved me on my trip alone with my toddler!!!! My daughter is 2.5 and a little over 30 pounds with no issues riding in the seat. It’s easy to strap onto my carry on luggage. With how the seat sits it’s hard to buckle my daughter in because my suitcase kind of falls on top of her, so i just leave her unbuckled when she rides in it. I hold the handle on my suitcase and lean it back just a bit so she can sit down and ride. I recommend wheel protectors so your wheels don’t wear down from the extra weight. The seat holds up well and was so so helpful getting through a huge airport without having to carry my daughter. I couldn’t recommend it enough!

We had a family trip coming up and wanted to find a way to where our 2 YO would be able to keep up with us throughout the airport. I found this genius product. It is super easy to use; it works best on larger suitcases. You put one strap over the handle of your suitcase and the other strap goes around the body of the suitcase; your toddler hops on and there is a 3-point harness that keeps them strapped in. The actual seat part, where the kid would sit IS made from a durable cloth material, so it drooped a little when our toddler sat in it, but we rolled through the airport with a breeze; the amount of shocking looks we got from by passers never seeing this product before was crazy. I'm not sure how this hadn't existed sooner! Thank you for this!

The Lug-a-Bug was a lifesaver on our 2 year old grandson's Disney trip. Traveling through three airports each way, this is the best way to know your little one is safe and contained; no need to deal with gate checking your stroller and waiting for it at your layover. It is sturdy and our little one loved using it. Several people asked us about it and we recommended it very highly to them. For reference, our guy is three feet tall and thirty pounds; we can see plenty of room left around him, and can see a fifty pound child still using it easily.

I used this product on a recent trip. On the way to the destination, I brought a Samsonite Omni PC carryon and the lug a bug completely destroyed one of the suitcase wheels. Before we even got to our gate, my daughter could no longer ride because the suitcase was wrecked. She’s 47 lbs, which is close to the max weight limit, and the suitcase was a 4-wheel spinner. That said, the suitcase was less than 2 years old and not cheap, so it really stunk to lose it. When we arrived at our destination, I ordered a Travelpro Maxlite 5 and used that on the way home. The lug a bug worked MUCH better on the Travelpro. The Samsonite was much less stable (my daughter kept falling off when I stopped or turned) and it also felt like I was dragging the Samsonite around vs. rolling it (as with the Travelpro). On the plus side, my daughter loved the seat and we will likely use the lug a bug with the Travelpro suitcase on a couple more trips this summer.

As much as I wanted to love this, it just couldn't fit our needs. It is durable as far as material goes but when you cut a corner, it slides around and my kid fell out of it. Couldn't use it in the airports because of that. Great idea, needs work on the design.

It was my first time traveling by myself with my 4yo. We had 3 flights and 2 connections, one of which was in LAX which I knew from experience was a LONG walk to the international terminal.The lugabug was a lifesaver! Transiting through the airport was made extremely easy because of this, and my daughter loved riding on it too.Our second flight was very delayed, and we had airline staff meet passengers on tight connecting flights outside the gate when we deplaned, put stickers on us and ushered us through the airport to expedite the process. We breezed through the Hong Kong airport with the lugabug (with me brisk walking for about 10-15 minutes); am not sure we would have made our connection without this product.I saw reviews that said this works better on softsided luggage, but my softsided carryon has a finicky zipper and I didn’t want to chance it, so I used a hard shell, 4-wheel spinner and it was fine. I love that it zips to flat when not being used so that it doesn’t stick out.Tips:- Extend the telescoping handle and tilt the luggage BEFORE your child gets on, instead of it being mostly upright when they get on and then tilting back. This distributes the weight better and provides less stress to your bag.- Make sure your child is centered on the lugabug; if they’re shifted to one side you will feel that the bag is unbalanced while you are walking. I just tell/remind my daughter to scoot her butt to the middle.- Not sure if this was supposed to come with a lap belt/strap, mine didn’t and at first I was concerned my daughter might fall off, but it was actually fine without. She will naturally be leaning back against the bag because the bag is tilted while I’m walking. I look over my shoulder every now and then to check on her and she’s always been fine; I think you’ll feel (while walking) rather than see if your child is not stable in the seat.We received a lot of compliments and more importantly it did exactly what I got it for - get me and my child efficiently through the airport.

Well built and seems sturdy. We had planned to use for our toddler. Drawback is the luggage tips over. This is probably good for older kids.
