The atomizing heads are disposable after 5 or 6 uses. Clean them with a squirt bottle of the thinner compatible with the paint you’re spraying. Don’t let them sit in thinner. I dry them with a squirt of compressed air.

Am spraying 2k clear coat with a 1.2 and 1.3 and its laying out blotchy what can i do so this doesnt happen ?

Check air pressure. Try more but would go past 25 pounds. Also check fluid adjustment knob. Open it a half a turn at a time and check it. Do some test panels. You could even tighten the fan pattern a little. Never want that opened all the way. And finally check your speed of spraying. Maybe try to slow down. If ur still having the same problem go to a 1.4

Love LOVE LLLOOOVVVEE this gun and its tips.....

This 3M gun is my main base coat gun. I have Iwata LS-400 and many other base coat guns, but this gun saves material, and shoots great. You can get tips from 1.0 to 2.0. But these 1.2 works great for sealer and clear. I use my Iwata WS-400 for clear, but i have used the 3M for clear before.

I just completed painting my boat with this spray gun. Works so much better than expected, cleanup is such a chore with my Binks 7, 20 seconds to clean then this is like a new gun with each use. Some may be concerned about the cost of the liners, tops with filters, and spray tips, but if you are shooting 50 dollars of paint per refill, it suddenly makes so much sense to have a quality tool to help me (a nonprofessional boat builder) get the results you are proud of.
