It is common knowledge among most people that a photo of a Mexican wearing a Sombrero leaning against anything like a cactus or a wall is generally seen as a negative stereotype and demeaning to the Mexican culture. It is meant to portray Mexicans as lazy. Amazon should remove this puzzle from it's site or they will be responsible for perpetuating this negative cultural stereotype.

It is not made from wood. The puzzle base is made of multiple layers of pressed material. The puzzle pieces are made from a single layer of that same material.

The sizing of the puzzle is such that the New England States and New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. are sacrificed, without discrete puzzle pieces and state names and D.C. identified on discrete puzzle pieces. There are 40 puzzle pieces for the 50 states and Washington, D.C. West Virginia and Virginia are one puzzle piece, with colors designating shapes. Arguably, there is little if any learning value regarding the shapes of these states and D.C.; they are sacrificed.
