Works best on a counter with a hard edge
Works best on a counter with a harder, eased edge. On a counter with a bull-nosed or bevel edge, it doesn't work as well (the mat can slip or give resulting in an uneven tamp). Keeps the counter from marring and protects the portafilter...

I love this tamp pad
I love this tamp pad. Our portafilters have double spouts and we were tearing up normal pads. These work perfectly for our shop.

which is like every kitchen counter top
Because the force goes down at the end of the mat, it doesn't work at all on a curved edge... which is like every kitchen counter top. It's like you're pulling it off the counter when you use it. Complete garbage.

Very functional
Fanstastic bit of kit! Fits nicely on the work top next to my De Longhi coffee machine, does not interfere with the drawers below and I now have a nice place to store my tamper!!. Not a lot else to say, it does what it's meant to, it looks good and I'm a happy customer!

Well made small tamping mat
As per the description. It is chunky and well made.I would have preferred there to be a flat surface instead of the tamper indent but this type of mat is not available at this size.I knew this when I bought this item so cannot mark it down for that reason.
