Used properly, it can enhance the flavor of a dish
The flavor isn't quite what I expected, and the color of the salt makes it look pretty unappetizing. Although it does taste okay, you have to know when, where and how much of it to use in any given dish. When used properly, it can enhance the flavor of a dish.

Awesome for Salads!
Fresh baby greens, olive oil, red wine vinegar, pine nuts and a few grinds of this and I have a delicious salad!

I was making crab potato salad and tried to grind using your plastic and it's the worst I've ever used in my entire life
your salt grinders is a piece of poop. I was making crab potato salad and tried to grind using your plastic and it's the worst I've ever used in my entire life!!! Cheap feel, worst off my crab salad is in the garbage as I tried to grind a tiny dash and the entire plastic cheap grinder popped open and it made my salad way salty. I will never buy from your company again just easier off with McCormick grinders at least is made of glass and never had an issue. Is there Quality control at your Brooklyn spices plant even?

Tastes good but looks nothing like picture
This is my second Aromasong product and I'm pretty impressed with their products. I love a smoky flavor in my food so I was really excited to try this smoked salt. The bottle is really nice. It's heavy glass with a grinder built in (very similar to the grinder spice bottles from Trader Joe's). The strange thing is that my salt looks NOTHING like the picture in the listing. Mine just looks like regular coarse sea salt with little flecks of spice in it. Nothing like the paprika color shown in the listing. I subtracted one star for that reason. As far as the flavor is concerned, I really like it but it must be used sparingly. The smokey flavor isn't overpowering, but it's very salty (I know it's called SALT for a reason, but coarse sea salt is saltier than regular table salt!) So far I've used it on chicken breasts, a salad and tater tots with great results.I received my salt at a discount for my unbiased review. All opinions expressed are 100% my own and were reached through my real world use of the product. Thanks for reading and I hope my review was helpful to you :)

Love the product
Love the product, but not the grinder. The salt falls right out before you have a chance to grind it. The grinder on that bottle is different than the garlic and rosemary salts, which also leak, but not as bad.

Smoke Gets in Your Salt
I must not be a real foodie because I never knew 'smoked salt' existed or was a thing until I was offered to try Natural Flavored Cooking Salt at a discount in exchange for my honest, unbiased review. I really wasn't sure what to expect. I've used smoked Paprika but I wasn't even sure what to expect. This is a very ample size of salt and comes with it's own built-in grinder, so you don't have to worry about chunks of sea salt (my hubby doesn't like me to use sea salt that much for that very reason). And amazingly, it's really smoked. It smells a bit like bacon, a bit like smoked ham and a bit like liquid smoke. It's not overwhelming at all. Very subtle. I've tried it on roasted potatoes, on fried eggs and just in general cooking. It think it works by itself - or at least I could tell it was there best when it was by itself (like on roasted potatoes). When used with other seasonings, you might miss it because it really is a subtle flavor to food. I think this would be great if you want to impart some type of meaty smoked taste to something without using meat (yes, Vegans, I'm talkin' to you!) or to bump up the taste of tomato soup or eggs or anything where you might use smoked paprika or want that type of smell. I haven't tried it on French fries yet - that might be fun. Or popcorn....Anyway, I really like this - it seems like it would last a while because you are grinding the salt as you use it. Overall, it's a nice addition to my spice cabinet.
