I've been meeting week nights with a group of men friends at local restaurants. After COVID19 struck, we wanted to keep meeting and so we met on my deck during the spring & summer. Now fall has arrived and it gets dark earlier and we needed a lantern. I bought this little lantern and love it. It is perfect! The men said the brightest setting was too bright so we use the 3rd setting.I bought an Eneloop AA battery kit a few years ago which included adapters for C and D batteries so I use the AA batteries in three D-battery adapters and it works like a charm. Our meetings last ~ 3 hours. I've used this lantern 3 times and haven't had to recharge yet. Highly recommend.

Bought this because it got high ratings on several backpacking sites. But found out last week, it is not bright enough to light up a car-camping site. You would need 3-4 of them, which may be a better and more full lighting setup, but an expensive one. The light seems well built so far, but I have had it only one season and not given it to my kids for the ultimate test. This light seems to be as described in this listing, I have not noticed any false claims. It’s a nice lantern, just wish it could go brighter.

Seems pretty rugged. There is a hook at the bottom. The top unscrews to reveal 3 LEDs encased in non-removable clear plastic. For batteries, I used rechargeable AA to D adapters (3x per D size casing, ASIN B074PKPPNS). 4 light modes starting with brightest (1000lm), medium (400lm), low (30lm), candle (low but flickers, kinda gimmicky). Press and hold activates SOS. When screwing in the bottom part after putting in batteries, remember to line up the arrows otherwise it won't close.

The light this little lantern puts out is great. Three adjustment levels are really handy if you're trying to save power or just want a less-bright environment. A really easy-to-read-by light. After a 14 hour power outage, we saw how versatile and reliable this baby is, and bought another one.

worth the money. I live in Wilmington NC and we get a lot of hurricanes. This is bright enough to read a book with or play a game of cards during power outages.

Better than expected.

I like the simple design - batteries, switch and LEDs- for a reliable camping and home emergency lantern. The on/off button should glow a bit brighter.

Very good quality, don't know about how long it lasts yet, would recommend.
