So on a whim, I decided to order organic tea from PUKKA anda tin of MUGHE Gourmet assorted baklava. First I sent both to my sister in Germany.... without any indication who sent it . . . then I decided I would send the same things to my cousin in Canada (my cousin is very close to my sister, and they speak frequently, I figured they would share their puzzlement as to whosent the goodies! Then I sent one to a family friend in France. . . and the rumor mill got going in earnest. It was fun: BUT, the upshot was that they all LOVED Mughe's balkava. So I thought... hmmmm.... I want to try it... and I ordered the same combo (tea and baklava) for myself, and WOW.... It is delicious! It is nothing like baklava I had eaten before. Most often it is very gooey, inedibly sweet, and just feels like a cannonball in your stomach... But, I've never had this kind of baklava --it's dry, nutty, with a slight crispiness to the pasty... and the fillings they use are various --including almonds, hazelnuts, pistachios..mostly ground up, but some whole as well. It's a really great product and received great "reviews" from all the friends and relatives I sent them to... (yes, after I sent them out to those first three recipients, I just kept going and ultimately sent out about 9 or 10 combo tea and baklava gifts. It was a lot of fun.

It was a gift and it was appreciated. I am told it was good & fresh.I will probably be back to buy for me.

I like this brand, they make the best turkish floss. I tried my best to message the seller, which was impossible, about my experience. I did not want to leave a negative review, but I was so frustrated that I could not tell them my experience, this is the only way. The baklava was stale, dry, had a bad taste and looked like Tom Brady used it as the football in his last Super Bowl. Or maybe dropped from the Empire State building. The tin was dented. I did not return because I was so irritated, that I just threw it away. I had a feeling that someone possibly ate from the tin and returned it and it was rewrapped with plastic. There were several large pieces missing, as I bought this for the 3 mussel shaped baklava. I don't believe that any of this is the seller's fault, as I stated, this is a great brand that I have never had a problem with. Amazon did ship it in a bag with NO PADDING, which this is a delicate item, but that does not explain missing baklava, dry, stale and the weird taste.

Very tasty...nice tin box. Just right as a small sampler.

Not bad, but not worth 28 bucks. Very dry. Dry like Shredded Wheat with nuts, dry.. I think my expectations were too high.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This is the second best baklava I've had. It was fresh and packaged well.

I dislike the baklava was not sweet at all. The baklava was missy and was not packaged well inside. Very dry was not sticky or had enough honey on the pastry. I have had better baklava before. Very disappointed I am embarrassed I sent some out for gifts.

For being in a fancy tin, you would think sitting in a warehouse would cause this crispy, crunchy dessert to taste off or begin to get stale; however, this was so fresh it tasted better than the ones they sell at the restaurants! Out of this world!!!
