Murach's C# (7th Edition): Training & Reference (Murach Books)

This book is both a training guide and a reference. I have programmed for 40 years but never learned C#. This book is outstanding in that it meshes how to examples and coding guidelines for C# and additionally provides quick access to the language elements in a concise manner. Perfect for beginners and "old" pros.

This is a great book for starters and for reference.

If you expect support for the code download, at least for C# 7th Ed. - be warned - the support is not there if their code for that book, at least using Visual Studio with their code, does not work. Getting help from Murach is nearly nonexistent. Email response only if you pester them; even then, the support is hit and miss. This is otherwise a very good book.

I would not buy it if I knew it smelled...
