I used the Pro Packing Cubes on a recent cross-country junket. They were excellent. I was able to pack approximately 30% more than I amtypically able to fit in my suitcase; the cubes do in fact have compression qualities that improve the efficiency of packing. The compression is provided by the resistance of the zipper as it is tightened around a fully packed cube (ie. pack the cube fully and then tighten the "lid" around the contents and zip-- you will be surprised how much fits!). These do not provide stuff sack-type compression (stuff-sack compression results in wrinkled clothing, makes retrieval of individual items virtually impossible, etc.).The cubes also helped me organize clothing and other packed items. I did not have to rifle through my suitcase looking for important items; I could simply look in the appropriate cube. I was also able to remove the cubes and put them in drawers or on shelves for easy access. Even unpacking was easier with the cubes; everyone dreads unpacking a suitcase in disarray, but the cubes kept everything in place. Clothing also remained neat and unwrinkled (hint: roll everything you can).The cubes are durable, the zippers are secure, and the handles are a very useful extra feature. The cubes would also be great for organizing a large backpack or duffle, where items tend to be difficult to retrieve. I plan to use the smallest one to organize small items for my everyday tote bag.Pro Packing Cubes are an excellent value. I recommend them without reservation. I did a lot of research before settling on this brand of packing cubes and I couldn't be happier. They're so nice and lightweight and yet feel so sturdily constructed. The zippers are strong, yet glide freely around. Upon receiving them, I hand washed them according to the tag. I'm the kind of person who washes everything before I use it, and they came out beautifully. Washing them also removed the slight chemical smell that others had reported. Some have complained that the cubes were smaller than they'd expected; however, I think they are wonderfully sized. The large fits perfectly across in my large suitcase (OGIO Terminal) and the medium fits perfectly across in my small suitcase (OGIO Layover).I just got back from a three day weekend trip where I used the cubes for the first time. For this sort of trip, I would pack a carry-on that would end up completely full, including the outside pockets. With the cubes, the suitcase ended up less than 3/4 full, with nothing in the outside pockets. I packed one medium cube for each me and my husband, which we just laid out on the dresser in the hotel room, making it very easy to access our clothes throughout the trip while keeping them clean and contained.My only complaint is that they aren't offered individually, so you have to buy a whole set to get more of any given size.

I enjoyed using these packing cubes and recommend them. They are versatile, lightweight yet sturdy. I used two sets, one for myself, one for my husband on a 6 week trip to Europe, split between four stops in two countries. This is the first time I have ever used packing cubes and I could happily have used another set. They are great for organization and the ease of packing, unpacking and repacking.Going from large to small - the largest cube would fit four to five days worth of clean clothes - jeans/trousers or skirt and underskirt, long sleeve top, two short sleeves, under wear, bra's and socks: bundling our outfits this way made them easier to store, identify, and use. We restocked approximately every five days. The second largest cubes stored our dirty clothes with both cubes and clothes going into large plastic bags to minimize the transference of odors. The third cube I used for a pair of dress shoes, a clutch, stockings, three chiffon scarves and assorted costume jewelry. Having all my 'dress' stuff together was very convenient. My husband used his third cube for his crossword books, reading light, paperbacks and writing materials. My smallest cube accommodated our electronics - phone, Ipod, chargers, ear buds, hot spot, dongle, flash drives and all the necessary adapters/transformers for foreign outlets: his was used for his for toiletries, hairbrush, comb, deodorant, tooth brush, paste, etc.What I appreciate about the cubes was their versatility and ease of organization and identification- what was his - what was mine. When they were empty or only half full they squashed down and took up no extra room. They were so light they were not a consideration for weight limits. How much simpler and quicker to unpack or repack a cube with everything in it, in and out of a drawer or suitcase, than fiddle with all the individual bits and pieces? It was simpler to find an outfit already separated and stored. And, so much simpler to keep the clean clothes separate from the dirty ones. These cubes made packing, unpacking, repacking between the four stops a breeze: something I had dreaded but need not worry about ever again. They were a huge benefit and time saver: money well spent.
