Awesome wireless controllers for your fans with added features!
So the AC Infinity AI-CLA4 4" Fan Units come with a non-removal USB-C cable. The fan also comes with a controller that is smaller but functions exactly the same as the wireless version. However, my problem was that the two fans I purchased were in a hard-to-reach location. I decided to put a rheostat (basically a dimmer for motors) at the switch to control the speed of the fans that way. However, the range of speeds was horrible with the switch device. Therefore, my choice would be to use the hardwire controller. This was problematic as I would have to run these through many openings and then pull them back out if I had to maintain the fans or such.Enter this solution instead. You plug the included USB-C radio receiver to the hardwired cord on the fan instead of the controller that came with the fan and use this wireless transmitter from wherever you want. Two AAA batteries and you are off and running. On both the wired and hardwired, pressing the controller once lights one dot and the fan runs at speed 1. Rinse and repeat up to speed 10 (increasing by 10% speed each time). Pressing it again turns it off.Now for the extras! If you have the fan on a wall switch and you were running on speed 4 let's say, turning off the power at the wall, then turning it back on, the fan remembers your last setting and resumes (so in this example - the fans return to setting 4 (or 40% speed)). Better yet, I have two fans, and I bought two wireless controllers. I have an option of setting the controller and remote to the same setting or different setting (so I can control the fans together with one remote or control the fans separately with two remotes setting them at different speeds if I so desire.Highly recommended

It just works.
I hit my original fan speed controller with my cabinet and broke it. Surprisingly AC Infinity let me know that they don't offer replacements. Feeling utter disbelief that I might have to purchase an entire new fan just because the speed controller broke, I went to Amazon and found this. Free overnight shipping was offered, and I bought it. To my surprise, it was plug and play by simply adding the 2 AAA batteries to the remote and plugging the other end into my fan. That's it. It just works. The remote even has a magnet built into the case that allows it to stick to the metal plate on their grow tents. I guess I dodged a bullet on this one by not having to buy another fan and it is a nice, unintentional upgrade to boot.

1st sample did not work as supposed to. 2nd sample or battery problem?
Batteries are good. ON works. Speed stepping works. OFF rarely work. Have to step through all 10 speeds to turn off.Not a range issue. Same problem with remote close to receiver.Second one worked sort of for 30 days. To turn off press hold 5 sec, wait 2 sec, press and hold 5 sec. Now batteries are 1 v and ~.5 v. Bad Duracells? Problem with controller? Will update

Replaced lost speed controler
Just what I needed for a very loud cloudline blower I inherited without the original speed control. Works great to set to about half speed. And an economical choice

Great upgrade!
Great plug and play upgrade. This little remote could control my duct booster from 2 floors away. I would buy again.

Must have!
This is a must if installing the fan in the attic. No wires coming through the ceiling!

Great value!
Nice little unit. Works as advertised. Great value. I mounted receiver high up in a cabinet behind a 2X4 so range is limited to about 15 feet. I haven't tried other placements.
