How long is the phone's cord?

Coiled, it is approximately 4' long. Stretched, it is probably twice that length. Be aware that this cord is wired into the receiver handle, and can not be changed easily. No plug-ins here.

How long is the hand cord?

This hand cord is 4ft long. It cannot be changed out with a longer cord.

Is the black phone metal or plastic?

I have the red one, and it's plastic. In this day and age, I don't believe any phone is going to be metal. I never remember metal phones, except in Godfather #1, where a solid gold phone was given as a present to Hyman Roth.

Does it work with a DSL plate?

Never mind DSL plate, it sounds awful only looks nice
