Performs as described
With so many variants of these available, I was somewhat skeptical but pleasantly surprized with this tool. It feels good in your hand, has nice weight and balance. 3 speeds are activated in sequence with one button. When you first turn it on, it will be at the low speed, but it comes on at high speed first, then drops to slow in about 1 second. Next button press is medium, next is high. Press again to turn off.The motor has good torque for it's size, but will understandably bog down under load especially when using a larger diameter wheel. By comparison, it definitely has more power than the common mini-rotary manicure devices. I had no problem with the collet gripping the bits but you do have to use the right size collet to match the bit shank. 5 come with the tool. I wouldn't expect to do much drilling with this. Maybe 3/32 dia or less in soft material. This is not a substitute for the full-size 120V motor tools.A good rule to remember - choose the right tool for the job.

Great deal for price
A lot of bits for a cheap price. The brass ones do come apart/degrade fairly quickly, the steel ones are better. All in all an absolute bargain for how many you get. Work great in my Dremel and compare these to how much you pay for ONE comparable Dremel bit. WEAR SAFTEY GLASSES WITH THESE.

Very cheap quality, wire pieces fly all over, eye protection a MUST!!!
I read many of the reviews that said these were very poor quality, didn't last long at all, and threw off the small wires all over the place becoming an eye hazard. i decided to give them a try anyway due to the quantity and the price because I was only planning on using them for one particular project. Well, the bad reviews were very correct. I went through so many of these brushes in a VERY quick time because they simply wear down and fall apart super quick. I didn't even finish my project because I was replacing the brushes about every two minutes of use because they wore down to the metal hub with no wire brush remaining. The pieces of wire being thrown off of the brush as they are used is not only annoying, but rather dangerous!!! EYE PROTECTION IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST!!!!! The clean up from using these brushes was tedious, time consuming and a pain. My skin felt like I had been working with fiberglass and had bunches of little wire pieces sticking in my skin and in my hair. I had to use tweezers to remove wire pieces from my clothing and gloves. A shower and washing my clothing were a must so as to not transfer the small wire pieces to others, furniture, the car, etc. Even though they wear out very quickly, I would tolerate that for my one project and just use them in bulk, however, the issue with the small wire pieces going all over the place make these brushes a no go for the future!!! I will NOT be buying these again.

Bristles ejected almost instantly if not cemented first!
Like others have noted, the bristles start ejecting from the mandrel at comically low speeds, but to be fair, the genuine Dremel brushes don't last that long, either. However, another reviewer (Jeffrey Paul) provided an excellent and ingenious tip: add cement to the bristles where they enter the mandrel and they will survive much longer! He used Duco cement but I had several "1-use" tubes of super glue on hand so I tried squirting that into the mandrels and lo-n-behold, that worked fairly well. A few bristles still ejected, but this was on a 70's-era Dremel that doesn't have a speed control - basically runs flat out all the time. The other issue with these brushes - but, again, this is somewhat true of the Dremel versions as well - is that the bristles start breaking off as soon they contact the surface to be cleaned; they are not very strong, in other words.Basically, these are just barely functional and last about 1/10th as long as the Dremel versions *after* the bristles have been cemented (they literally don't last longer than 1 second if not cemented), but given you get 36 for the same price as 2-3 genuine Dremel brass brushes at a big box store I'd say they are a fair value. Not nearly as good as the low, low price might otherwise suggest, but good enough to merit 3 stars.Oh, and definitely wear eye protection and check your shirt for embedded bristles after using.

These things really grind!
The media could not be loaded. These were excellent on my dremel tool to “sand” in the deep cracks of a piece of furniture I was refinishing. I used it in the creases of spindles and the deep corners of some drawers to get out stripper and varnish. Be sure to use goggles/protective eyewear! As you use it, the metal bristles wear down/come out. Then I sat on the garage floor and kept getting little metal “splinters” in my skin through my clothes! I recommend using them outside of the garage, if possible! I learned that the hard way! They did the job, though!

If used at high speed shredded quickly
Functional but shredded quite quickly but served my purpose for small projects.
