Q: How long is this product on the market?

LinkTap's first generation wireless water timer (G1) was released on 07/2017. The current G2S is LinkTap's third generation water timer, which is the enhanced version of previous G2 model. The G2S was released on 02/2021.

Q: Is the timer water tight so you don't have to cover it when it rains

Yes. The water timer is IP66 rated. There is no need to cover it when it rains.

Q: How is it with high temperatures like in Arizona?

I don’t think I have had mine long enough to know for sure. I just bought mine a few months ago. It has held up to several weeks in the high 80’s and low 90s with high humidity. We are in the coastal part of Virginia but the temps haven’t gotten into the high 90s and 100s yet. I don’t think we ever get quite as high as Arizona. My device is in partial shade.
