Aircraft Display Case 1/48 Imex

Fits a 1/48 F-16. Does not fit a 1/48 scale F-22.I purchased it for the F-16 but decided to see if the F-22 would fit, it does not.All of the plastic is good quality.The only problem I have had is that the clear plastic bows inwards about a half inch. This only causes a problem when you are trying to put it all together. If you have small details, such as a crew standing next to a plane, they will fall over when you attempt to wedge the top down over the base.I have attached a picture with a red line showing the bowing action.I will purchase again.

I purchased this item with the intent of displaying a 1:48 scale airplane model. When received, I put it away in anticipation of completing the Revell F-15 Strike Eagle (Model 85-5511). Unfortunately, either the Revell company is wrong in its identification of this model as being 1:48 scale or the Imex company is wrong in identifying this display case as being "suitable for for aircraft of 1:48 scale". The aircraft I am building clearly exceeds the dimensions of the case by at least 3 inches.I am truly disappointed but I cannot hold the dealer responsible as it is the manufacturer who failed to use the verbiage "Suitable for SOME aircraft of 1:48 scale". I want to make sure that everyone is aware that this product falls "short" of its depicted use.

For the price, this is a decent value. The clear plastic has excellent visibility and no distortion. My only complaint is that the top of the case has an unsightly "nub" where the feeder sprue (from the plastic molding process) has been cut off. A hole cut out with a flush fitting cap would have looked nicer (IMHO) and I would have been willing to pay an extra dollar for it. I purchased mine for a 1/200th scale model aircraft. I can hold two of them, and perhaps 4 1/400th scale models as well.

I like the case but my 3 stars is due to the fact that is not an acrylic made and also it came broken, therefore you'll have to be very careful handing it to avoid breaking it.

Plastic is decent quality. Only reason it is 4 stars instead of 5 is one corner was chipped/broken when I received it. It fit my model well. The cover is crystal clear.

This case is large, clear, and nicely made. I am using mine to display model ships, some of which are 12 inches long. These fit easily in the case. Three or four 1/72 WWII fighter airplanes airplanes would also easily fit. The plastic is thick and a little bit shiny, which makes the models look even prettier!

The description says BLACK BASE, but mine arrived with clear base. Not really what I wanted.

I purchased this case for my husband's 1/48 inch airplane. The plane fits perfect. The case quality is excellent, much nicer than any of the other cases he has for his cars and planes. I would purchase it again.
