Average
Average protein for the money. Nothing special to warrant the extra cost. Tastes good in my opinion.Probably wouldn’t buy for the price alone.Additionally, 4 g of carbs in 130 g serving is quite a lot. What you want is more protein and less carbs per serving. Especially when building muscle. If this review helped you, I’d appreciate you letting me know.

Random protein source lets it down, otherwise a good plant based option
When I first looked at this VITE plant-based protein powder, it looked very enticing, because of the small number of ingredients. I personally prefer to add my own additives, amino acids, etc. However, looking closely, I was unable to find what the "Plant-based protein " was. No mention of the ingredients list. THis has since been updated on the website description.Since receiving the protein powder, I can see that it is a possible option of pea or brown rice protein as the main ingredient. Both pea and brown rice protein may have traces of a petroleum derivative solvent called hexane and brown rice may be contaminated with arsenic. These are generic issues with these plant products and not related to this product alone. You can do your own research on these findings as there are plenty of resources and studies available.I personally prefer to use pea protein, as it is more likely to receive a better extraction method of cold water filtering than chemical solvent. I was somewhat disappointed to see brown rice and the source of protein on my pack ingredients. Seems to be a random option what you actually get.The powder is typically very fine and needs to be carefully mixed, either in a blender, or a shaker with an agitator. The flavour is in my opinion very good, providing you mix it with milk and not water. I use goats milk as I find it more gentle on the digestion and adds some extra flavour and texture to the mixThe addition of Cinnamon, Turmeric, Vanilla, black pepper, salt and stevia to sweeten is a healthy mix of extras, without overdoing the extra supplementation of amino acids etc.At the time of reviewing the price of £27.50 for 1kg (30 servings) feels a bit steep, compared to some other plant-based protein supplements. However, I like the taste and richness of the mix. I just feel that there should be more control on which protein source is actually used, because for people like me, it really does matter,

Much better health benefits than normal protein shakes. Only 111 calories.
I drink at least one protein shake every day. I changed the way I eat in mid-March in a bid to lose weight and get healthier without having the hassle of counting calories etc. I’m 4 stones and 3lbs down so far (59lbs). I start the day with a protein shake, I add a little psyllium husk and ashwagandha. This shake has 21g of protein 2.2g of fat and 111 calories per serving. That is pretty average with the shakes I drink but the added bonus of this one is that it contains cinnamon and turmeric, I’m a fan of both these ingredients and their flavours, good to see black pepper also included as it increases the bioavailability of the turmeric. I like the flavour, makes a nice change from some over sweet shakes, the warmth of the cinnamon and turmeric really compliment the vanilla. I mix in a mini blender along with the other powders I use, and it mixes with no problems. It works out at 90p per shake so it is good value.

Very poor protein powder
I was pretty excited to try this protein powder out, as I supplement protein daily so was interested to see how this one would pan out! Unfortunately, I've been left pretty disappointed. To start with, the protein content is actually quite low! 69g per 100g of powder is VERY low as far as protein powders go. It says it's low carb but it really isn't... There's a lot of carbs and a lot of fat, as well as FAR too much salt! If you're trying to hit your daily protein intake, then you're likely going to need to have a few shakes a day, and with such low protein content, then I think 200g of this powder a day is what you'll be looking at. That'll give you over 5g of salt a day! Your max recommended is 6g/day, and there's salt in almost every food that you eat so this will easily push you over the edge.So we've learnt that is a nutritionally very poor protein powder, how about the actual drinking side?It mixes fairly well in milk (I never use water), and it has nice consistency, but there's absolutely no flavour there! If you've ever had plain Huel powder, this tastes exactly the same! It tastes like you're drinking flour, at least I definitely can't taste any vanilla. At this point, I honestly think they added turmeric and cinnamon to have some sort of leg to stand on because the rest of the product is honestly just so poor. It doesn't even say how much of these they've added, so I can't even take that seriously!Possibly one of the worst protein powders I've ever used, and it's actually quite pricey for what it is! Cannot recommend this to anyone.
