FREE SOLDIER Waterproof Portable Multifunctional Outdoor Camping Traveling Awning Backpacking Tarp Shelter for Rain (Brown)

I took the photo to show the physical size difference between a low cost but adequate 10x10 tarp, that leaks through the center seam.The Free Soldier tarp (10x12) is made of a heavier but a much more durable fabric. The seams are taped and the corner and all other attachment points are solidly sewed on.The tarp comes with 4 long cords and 4 slip line gizmos to tighten up the guy lines.I am looking forward to the additional 2 feet of coverage this tarp provides over my existing tarp (10×10).I especially like the more natural brown color that is less visible in the wild.I purchased this for better coverage for hammock camping.EDIT: 5/23/2025I set up the new tarp over the weekend. The fabric appears to be very durable and definitely waterproof with a taped center seam for waterproofing. The corner tabs seemed sufficient with plenty of tie offs for extra support. No crinkle sounds if windy. Brown color blends in with nature.

Tarp looks really sturdy and does not seem to weigh much. I got the 10x13 and i am still waiting for the 13x13 tarp to arrive. These are gonna be cool awnings for the Vermont XLP I am picking up .The price was really good as the ones that i was looking at were almost 200 for the same size as my large one. I got both the biggest ones they had for about 80 dollars. Will buy again. Also have the Green Elephant poles , pretty cool.

Took this out to Olympic National Park for three nights of camping (early April). It rained heavily and continuously all the second day and on/off the third day and this held up without issue, not a single drop of water getting through anywhere. It's got plenty of sturdy attachment points allowing for a variety of configurations depending on your needs/situation. Of all the recent camping related purchases I've made, this is definitely one of the better ones!

Why does a camo tarp have two bright orange logos on the corners? This is so gosh darn stupid. I ended up trying all sorts of removal tricks, but using good ol' duck tape and stamping it down before ripping it off removed the silk screen ink just fine!Otherwise, yeah it's a great tarp blah blah blah. I use it for hammock camping and other things, never used it as a different set up.

extremely functional. I take this only tarp camping and it's all I need. Usually put over tent and extend it for an eating or sitting ares outside the tent. good quality grommets. good value for money. it holds the rain or snow away outside. It is not thin thin tarp or not a thick thick one. cartable and the right thickness.

Look here, stop thinking about it and go on buy the doggone thing.
