Matthew Rice Emma Bridgewater Year in the Country Large Tray

Amazon sent Scratched item - Could not have been checked properly. Fine scratches in at least 3 places and about 4" long - rather odd for 'new' items.Refunded by Amazon the Express service we had requested.These may be seconds as a trawl through feedback on this and other sites suggest similar items marked - More decorative item than functional as the base is rather thin. Not really an Emma Bridgwater / Matthew Rice item of good enough quality to justify the Brand name and price tag.

I had seen this tray in on a website, which continually stated it was out if stock,band when I saw it on Amazon, I couldn't buy it quick enough. It is so beautiful and with the sensible size and large rim and handles so practical. A perfect buy at a brilliant price.

This tray is really pretty and a very useful size. I particularly like the trees and hens around the rim: good detail and such rich colours. It's not heavy. The handles and rim are rigid and solid, but the round base is made of a thinner metal than expected, making it slightly bendy with a drum-like noise when the first item is placed in the middle of it! But I think it'll be quite strong and firm enough for a tea tray and am very glad I bought it.

Arrived scratched and upon careful inspection it was stained and wiped "clean"obviously a previous return.Dissapointing .

I only gave it 4 stars because it came with a couple of scratches on the inside of the tray. I could not be bothered to send it back and get a replacement so I decided to keep it and live with it -although, at the price, I would have expected it to be in mint condition. It's a lovely tray noneless and I like it, even though, as I already mentioned, it was a bit pricey for a tray.

This is a Christmas present it looks fabulous and with deep sides to the handle is very good. Just hope daughter in law likes it s much as I do
