BadgerModelflex Railroad Airbrush Paint-Weathering Colors, 7 Ounce

I have a model railroad and use my airbrush to apply paint on the structures and rolling stock. It goes on smoothly right out of the bottle and covers well. Sometimes, I add a couple drops of thinner to avoid any clogging. There is a wide selection of colors at a reasonable price.

This is the second set of these colours I've bought, I really like Modelflex paints as a whole. However they do dry up easily if like me you use them for brushing and have to have the lids off for extended periods. Also the cap liner often sticks to the jar. So I was delighted to see that Badger has revised its packaging and now uses the type of bottle that craft acrylics come in, namely a smaller diameter taller bottle with screw on lid with flip top and small nozzle. The paint should last longer and be easy to dispense into airbrush cups.

This is a nice set of common paints needed to weather and age model railroad cars and engines. I found all of these colors easy to apply and to clean up after, none of them had any odor at all, and they all self-leveled nicely, leaving all the fine detail intact. I did use primer (water-based) first, when these were applied to the model directly, but they go on over the base color (same brand, different colors) easily. As I use these up I'll definitely replace them - they work great and produce a nice looking result.
