ABLEGRID® RCA Composite AV S-Video to VGA Converter Box for DVD DVR VCR Monitor Cheap

It's nice in theory and cheap, but there is a line down the VGA monitor when there are darker colors. I used multiple monitors and reproduced this using multiple video sources (all retro gaming consoles). I was able to get rid of the line by restarting the video source and the converter, but that only resolves the issue for a short moment or until I change the AV source. I did not use S Video as I do not have devices that have that output. Note, this is being used on retro consoles, not a DVD or VHS player. I used an AV switch and directly connected them to the consoles to replicate the issue. I also connected the AV cables to a tube and LCD TV without replicating the line. Perhaps a VCR or DVD player would work, but I would not use use this device for retro gaming.

I bought this so i could hook up one of my game consoles to a computer moniter and it worked absolutly wonderfully. The only downside is that you need so many wires but what can you do?

Worked great! Using for Galaxy dart board. Changing from a small monitor to 15" LCD monitor. Very easy
