Rosewood Boredom Breaker Edible Play Shack/House, Small

Looked good. Arrived promptly.Only negative is that it says it is edible...... this may be true but I have to say that it didn't taste very nice. Was very dry. I had to add a lot of butter before I could finish it and even then it was a struggle.Think I'll stick to granola bars for my fibre.

We got this for our hamster thinking he could nibble it occasionally. The second it went in his cage, he was at it , nibbling away. It was a great size for him as well (syrian hamster). Hamsters are nocturnal, so they dont really get up much during the day, but Sandy was always up biting it. We would hear a nibbling sort of sound, and there he was, chewing away! Im really glad i found this, because this is the only thing he really chewed, and its important for hamsters to wear down their teeth. It lasted us a good six months, so we got great value out of it. It is also natural, which I like (I dont like my hamsters cage to look plasticy)

Great little shelter for my clever little mouse, Einstein. He wouldn't touch most other chew toys, and was very picky on where he made his bed, but he's taken to this straightaway. I'm consistently hearing nibbling and chewing as he builds a back door, and he loves diving in and out of the windows.No issues with the materials used to make it, they've not caused any digestive problems.Size I bought was small, and is perfect for a couple of mice or similar small rodents.

I've purchased several of these off Amazon. Generally, the product is great! My Hamster loves them, & loves to chew them!So, I recommend the product!However, my last purchase was just dreadful. It turned up covered in a blue fragranced product - that smelt like toilet cleaner. It was badly contaminated with an unknown chemical! (Sadly, the hut wasn't even bagged up, so the contaminant was directly on the hut - completely unusable & dangerous!)I had only ordered Dog food with it, & there was no blue in the box; so I can only conclude that it must have got contaminated whilst sat in storage - obviously being stored incorrectly.I got my money back & voiced my concerns to Amazon, as this could have made a Hamster very sick, or worse.However, I am now having to buy elsewhere. Too worried about the product being contaminated in storage.

this product is a super cute hide however “edible” hides like this are NOT good for hamsters, after purchasing this i realised that it was dangerous as it is made from sawdust and honey. if chewed the honey will encourage the hamster to eat it and if the sawdust is ingested it can harm their insides or even cause blockages and possibly lead to death. only possible for use with suppervision
