Had to modify it to make it fit.
This is a really nice cover but to make it fit I had to remove about two square inches of aluminum around where the starter is. Also needed to elongate one of the bolt holes. Not a problem for me because I have the tools to do that but it would have been nice if it fit without modification. BTW, my engine is a 502 (originally a 454 block) with a TH400 transmission. Also, the bolts included do not really have a big enough head on them. The seller should switch to supplying a larger diameter washer or a wider bolt head.

i gave this dust cover 5 stars for fit and finish. no trimming was necessary using 168 tooth flywheel with mini starter. there is some adjustment from side to side due to slotted holes. looks good on my hot rod

I’m very pleased with this cover. I had it installed in 10 minutes and the fit and finish.
I purchased 2 stamped steel covers from other sellers and they weren’t close to fitting or getting even one bolt started so I had to send them back. I just installed this aluminum cover today and it fit perfect. I was able to attach all bolts no problem. This cover fit like it came with the transmission from Chevrolet. I am very happy with the cover.
