I hurt my knee and am awaiting treatment and analysis of the what the damage is( I’ll have a long wait) had great difficulty bending down to get my footwear on. This product is amazing. Extended means no bending and no pain. I was so impressed I purchased a second one. One for the front door and one for the side door. Highly recommend.its sturdy, length spot on and easy to adjust

The shoehorn is telescopic it is marked with grey circles. Once extented or shortned to the desired length, you need to give it a twist to lock it. Failure to lock it properly as in some reviews will cause it to collapse when used. It is very well made, and it's sturdiness is great. It extends to a good length and the size folded is great for travel, handy pouch included. My mum finds it comfortable to use, as she struggles to put her shoes on a bit now. The bending resistance is great it is sturdy when used, even with a bit of leverage applied. My mum has bought a second one as shown in the photo. It compares extended to folded size. I would definitely buy again (which we have🤣🤣)

There is a knack to using this product to avoid it collapsing on you. Pretty obvious really because turning one way locks the length and turning the opposite way releases it. As long as you don't twist the shoe horn the "wrong way" when using it it stays firmly at the set length. I have found it very good after hip replacement for my shoes/slippers. Adjustable length works well when sitting/standing provided you you use it correctly. Will be used at home and is small/light enough to take away with me.

I had been tempted to buy the “easy on” type of show horn, the one made of plastic, comes perhaps with 3 or more pairs in the pack for under £10. Sounded good, slip it onto shoe, then slip foot into shoe, slip gizmo off. Bingo. Except….as always, reading reviews, I realised that many people claimed that it was quite difficult for arthritic hands to separate the parts which go over the back of the shoe. Also, I felt the plastic may not stand up to much abuse. I liked what I read about this trip pro shoe horn and I am not disappointed. I have a pair of trainers which I find really difficult to get on, and since buying this, I have had no bother. So far I use it at the short height, while sitting down, but it is good to have the option of the longer length. It seems very sturdy and the aluminium plate slides so easily by my heel that getting awkward shoes on is a doddle.I am very pleased with it and would recommend it's purchase.
