Five Stars!!
Fantastic Buy, Great Product! My husband and I recently completed a small addition to our home; however, we had some trouble supplying hot water to the half bath hand sink. A friend of ours, who is a licensed plumber suggested a tankless electric instant water heater. We had no idea such a thing ever existed! We went online and did some research and were very impressed at the convenience and benefits…came across this unit at a great price and decided to push the purchase button. Works like a CHARM! Even my plumber friend was impressed how easy it was to install…even more impressed at the fact that it came with a pressure relief device at that price. The only thing we didn’t have was a 0.5 gallon per minute aerator which is suggested by the manufacturer, but that was an easy and cheap buy at Home Depot. Two thumbs up on this item and a big THANK YOU!

Defective and leaking!
This unit is defective! Wired up as said, plugged it in and it leaks like a sieve. I have contacted the company, Paragon Group USA LLC, who refused to refund my money- said they ONLY replace and offer product support and that I should contact the retailer (Amazon). So.... I bought this item last summer as I was "gathering" materials/supplies necessary for my project (a tiny house). I finally got to the point where I have everything ready, it's livable, I install this thing and it LEAKS! So, I go through this whole process with Paragon and now Amazon to find that refund/return is not an option because I only had a 30 day window to do that. I am NOT pleased with the product and want my money back.

It works great!
I had it professionally installed in my travel trailer shower. The temp is best controlled by the water flow. If you turn the water on full force the heater can not keep up, so the trick is to turn the water flow down and the heater then can produce continuous hot water. I am very happy with this water heater and recommend it to any one who can be happy with reduced water flow.

Overall I'm not impressed for the reason explained herein
Overall I'm going to have to suggest that readers seriously consider other products. First, the product is shown with two brass NPT threads for cold water intake and hot water outlet. The unit actually has plastic on both the inlet and outlet, but does include a bushing (adapter) for brass on the outlet. Plastic NPT threads are a fairly bad idea especially where expansion is likely on the outlet. For this reason along I would not recommend this heater. Next, the instructions are very poorly done. They do not clearly show how to take the cover (bottom cap and then cover off) or where the electrical is connected. Next, there is no template for the screw holes for wall mounting. Most units will have such a template so you won't have to measure. The instructions also do not explain that a unit like this MUST be installed level. This is important!!! Next the overpressure outlet is a barb for polyethylene line. I'd highly recommend using a clamp and not relying on just the barb to hold it in place. In most jurisdictions you will need to separately drain the overpressure as you CANNOT tie the output of an overpressure line to a regular drain line. And you would NOT want to because if the drain line backs up you will end up with dirty water going back up into the heater (bad). Finally the unit requires a 30A circuit at 120v. I'd think a 15A 220/240 is far more practical. Where I can see this being potentially useful is a garage where you can easily add the power and plumbing and rarely need hot water. For such an application this could be a good solution (although again I suggest you look at other vendors) when making your decision. All of this said, it will absolutely work and could be a great fit for applications like a garage for the reasons I explained above.

5 GPM so it doesn't handle too much water flow other than a single faucet and it is even recommended to switch out your faucet's
This little compact Point of Use Electric unit is rated at 0.5 GPM so it doesn't handle too much water flow other than a single faucet and it is even recommended to switch out your faucet's aerator to a 0.5 GPM version. It needs that slow flow rate to have adequate contact time for the water to be heated fully. It works fine for your average bath lavatory where you don't typically need scalding hot water nor a very fast flow rate. I would not put this on the laundry room sink which has and needs more water volume. As far as washing your hands this thing is great. What the slow flow rate tradeoff gives is a small and compact unit. It really is tiny and easy to mount in even the smallest of cabinets, while being unobtrusive. The hardest part of the installation will be getting a 10 gauge circuit to it.. Definitely call an electrician if you don't have experience with this in your own home. There is also the pressure relief safety valve discharge hose that will need to be routed. After that it is good to go.

easy to install. i bought this one years ago and it’s still good. if you don’t want or can’t replace the water flow regulator that comes with the unit to your hose then you can manually control the spray the water for a slower flow of water for it to work properly.

Don't buy it if you expect even a little bit of hot water.
Read reviews before purchase, thought it was suitable for our needs. Received product and had it installed professionally. It didn't work.We called tech support. They promised to call us back. After 3 more days trying to contact tech support and waiting 2 more days, they did contact us. We installed the item as instructed and it still doesn't work. Only produces a slight tepidness to the water, and now I'm stuck with it because it was installed. Can't afford to de-install it and can't return it. Very unhappy.
