Q: Is size 32 the same as 32 inch waist and 32 length?

I’m a 36 usually but I bought 38 thinking they are normally small when buying from Amazon but the 38 are slightly large and the length are slightly long so I would say sizing is correct to uk standards on these. A good light walking trousers. I wear them for work in an engineering company and they are reasonably hard wearing to.
