Hypnobirthing Home Study Course Manual: Step by step guide to an easy, natural and pain free birth Paperback – January 1, 1784

I have to admit, I did not buy into this mentally tired of having my second daughter. I have never meditated, I have never done have hypno-anything, And prior to purchasing this book, I think there may be a 10% chance at best of it working. But the reviews are surprisingly positive, so I thought I would give it a shot even though I was already 35 weeks pregnant at the time. I read this book and sometimes listen to the audiobook version, and then also use the audio tracks on prime music to help me learn the relaxation methods, maybe 2 times A week. I did not feel confident, I did not feel like I knew how to relax, but I prayed a ton and hope for the best. The day before I was going to be induced at 41 weeks, my 8 lb daughter came so quickly that I accidentally had her at home. I had no pain whatsoever and I didn’t even use any of the relaxation techniques during the 1h20min labor. This is quite a difference from my first daughter’s birth, although I was induced that time. I’m convinced that this book gave me confidence about my own body deliver Painlessly and confidently and help me relax without even trying to. If you have any doubts, try it anyway.

I wish I would’ve known about this program sooner. Having a natural birth is very important to me and I’m happy to say that one of my biggest babies came into the world in the most peaceful and serene ways possible. My nurse commented that I made active labor look easy and she was in awe of how peaceful I was. I can’t recommend this program enough.

A good read for mother's to be, just ignore the poor sentence editing. Also check out Mindful Birthing, both methods compliment each other.

I LOVE this manual and the hypnobirthing tracks that accompany it. It is full of great information and I feel so prepared for whatever childbirth is going to throw my way! Can't wait to try all the techniques I've learned during active labor and see the benefits of all the prep this book has had me doing. I've already recommended this book to several other new moms!

Had great step by step guidance for when to do each breathing and relacation exercises. Because of being set up like a workbook it was easy to go back and review each section. I ended up being in labor for over 80 hours (I didnt know that was possible before) and these exercises absolutely helped me get through all of it.

I am going to start this review by saying that I returned the book. It wasn’t what I was looking for. I assumed it would have more practices in it and more of a workbook style with direct explanations. It did provide a few guided selections, but not many. If you are new to birth and do not have a strong background in how birth works, this book is great for you. If you do not want to read a selection of parent stories and information that you already know, skip this book. I was looking specifically for the tools of hypnobirthing. I already have a strong information background in birth and the natural process. I also have plenty of books filled with positive birth stories. While this book didn’t work out for my needs, I think it would be great for some.

I cannot recommend this course enough! I just had a completely natural, unmedicated birth with the help of this course. I bought the audio version as well and listened to this while on the go. Clark teaches you how to calmly breath your baby into this world and how to deal with a change in plans when it happens. Wouldn't want to have a natural birth without reading through this course first.

I really wanted to like this book. As someone who is committed to natural birth, I was really hoping this would be helpful in preparing me for it. I realize I'm being picky here, but there are so many grammatical errors in this book, it was really hard for me to get past them. I had trouble appreciating the content because of the glaring grammar mistakes on every page!

I am really happy that I read this book. I was reading Mongan’s hypnobirthing book before and in my opinion it doesn’t give enough practice ideas. This book on the other hand explains both physical and psychological exercises you can use during pregnancy to get ready for birth and during birth itself, too. I downloaded some of the audio guides from hypnobirthinghub.com and used them for meditation practices. I started reading this book around 34 weeks and I am 39 weeks old pregnant now. I believe that I can give birth naturally and I am really relaxed about the idea of birth thanks to this book.

Wir hatten uns nach einer Leseprobe für diesen Kurs entschieden. Meine Frau ist Englisch-Muttersprachlerin und wir wollten einen Kurs den man selbständig, also ohne Trainer durchführen kann. Der hohe Preis schien uns gerechtfertig da der Kurs ja mit Audiodatein begleited wird, zumindest dachten wir das! Auch beim Lesen der Buchbeschreibung wird dieser Eindruck vermittelt. Leider ist das aber nicht der Fall. Die mp3 Dateien müssen einzeln für teures Geld dazugekauft werden! Das ist aus unserer Sicht eine völlig inakzeptable Geschäftspraxis. Ohne Mp3s kann man das Buch getrost vergessen. Die Übungen funktionieren nicht bzw sind schwierig durchführbar wenn man die akustische Unterstützung nicht hat. Auch diesbezüglich ist die Buchbeschreibung aus unserer Sicht nicht ganz ehrlich. Man landet schnell in einer Investitionsfalle ala "jetzt habe ich ja schon über 20€ für das Buch ausgegeben, dann kaufe ich die Mp3 eben auch noch". Man kann auch schlecht vorher herausfinden welche/wieviel Mp3s man braucht und was das dann ingesamt kostet. Teilweise sind die Mp3s sehr teuer und so haben wir aus diesem Grund die Bestellung storniert. Eigentlich schade, wenn man hier wenigstens etwas ehrlicher wäre sodas die Kunden wissen was der Spass am Ende kostet wäre es für uns interessant gewesen.

The book is easy to follow and provides support in preparation for childbirth but relies largely on the additional CD's/Mp3's for the hypnosis part which you must purchase separately. After purchasing the book you feel you have no alternative than to make the additional purchases which are separate. This product has disappointed me greatly as you would expect to have all the resources you need to complete the course successfully. I would like to issue a big thanks to those who reviewed the product without mentioning this little nugget of information. There are other hypnobirthing products that offer the whole kit for a fraction of the price. Purchase with caution.

Great guidelines, too bad the audio part is sold separately and expensive...
