What is the actual size of the magnifier not the box square but the magnifier glass OR is it the full size of the square top

I bought this years ago and was shocked at how tiny it was. If I remember correctly there was a magnifier in the middle of the top but almost the full size of the top of the box. It served the purpose I needed it for - I had a tiny hummingbird feather that i put in it.

How does the insect stay inside without moving? Is there something inside that helps it stay stationary when viewing it?

Try putting it in the frig/freezer for a little bit. Also for some insect darkness will quiet them for just a little bit. In the field a small cooler - six pack size, and a block of “blue ice.”

Wish magnifier was stronger

The acrylic box goes together well and holds the specimen nicely with some room for cotton underneath. Bought too display a piece of amber and just wish the magnifier on top was a little stronger. But it does allow you to see better. Nice product.

clear as crystal and beautiful

These little cubes are just what I wanted. They are objects of beauty in themselves. One now houses the carpenter bee I found dead on the sidewalk - perfectly shaped and lovely. The magnifying lens in the lid allows me to see the veins on her amber wings and her delicate legs. I can view her from all sides, though only the top is magnified. The price was right and the product is what was promised.

Small boxes

This product was supposed to hold my tarantula exoskeleton however the boxes are too small. I haven’t used them but I’m saving them for a purpose when presented.
