Q: what is the best way to balance a cooking pot or kettle on this?

You’d need a cooking/ camping tripod to suspend the pot over the fire.

Q: Can you get a replacement mesh as mine has a hole in it after one use!!!!!

I’ve thrown the box away so l don’t know, but I have used this many times and it’s still going strong.

Yes the fire pit legs come as it is in the picture. Everything folds back and stays in the little pouch. It is very light also.
