If i wear a S/M in flexfit hats, would this hat have alot of slack hanging in the snap flap?

Unfortunately, since everyone has a different head circumference, we can't say for sure. The crown diameter is going to be 7 1/4", Crown length is going to be 14 3/8", the visor length is going to be 2 5/8". It is going to be slightly fitted but it isn't going to run large. A S/M Flexfit hat size is usually fits 7 1/8" - 7 1/4". Thank you for your business. Your orders are always appreciated. If there is anything else we can do for you, please email us. -The Rugged Outfitters Customer Service Team

how high is the crown?

The crown measures 3.5 inches tall.

If i wear a size 8 hat will this hat fit me right with out gonna all the way to the end of the snap back?

No it is just deep. Not extra large circumference.
