My son loved the dino for xmas, cheaper than in the shops

Does not work at all!
So I bought this Dino to my son for Christmas.Now that we opened it and installed the battery, this does not work. There is a connectivity issue with the on/off button.And now I have the most disappointed son on Earth. How do I explain it to him that’s Santa gave him a not working toy?
