It is a canvas color and it will fall off of the wall with the weight of a cat as soon as they lay in it

LOL. My cat was sleeping in it and my attempt to measure it woke her up. She wasn't happy. She's fine now. The cloth is 12" deep (the part on the wooden dowels and 17" wide. She's a mid size cat, about 13 lbs. She's in it several hours a day, moves around in it, claws it for better positions, and the cloth looks as good as new. Hasn't stretched or have any indication that it is weakened.
