is it true that if i try to leave it plugged into the tv usb port, every time i shut the tv off i have to pair the device again?

Hi, Frank,In the transmitter mode, TROND BT-DUO X won't be powered off automatically when the external power source stops charging or it doesn't detect any other paired Bluetooth devices. Therefore, it will stay on till it drains up all the remaining battery power. One full charge would provide max. 15 working hours.It means that you will have to make the pairing once again if you don't use TRONDBT-DUO X for over 15 hours or even less. When paired with two speakers/headset, will the aptx LL protocol be active for both devices?

Can i connect my hk portable speaker to my non-bluetooth tv as well as my dish hopper with sling so i can use the speaker as the only tv sound source?

It depends on whether your TV has this type of audio setting, and allows you to select the digital optical port (or the 3.5mm headphone jack, depending on which audio OUT port you use to connect TROND BT-DUO X to your TV) as the only audio output channel.
