Q: How do I know when filters need to be replaced?

Filter is different than the cartridge. Cartridge probably does not need changing frequently, depends upon how it is used, ask the seller. Restricted air flow causing more difficult breathing. Observe filter covered with dust. Personally, I use this mask in woodworking and some spray painting, so I vacuum the surface, occasionally and replace every 8-10 hrs of heavy wood sanding

Q: Does the included cotton filters filter out acid gas and mold?

Hello, I'm not sure about the Acid gas, I'm sure the manufacture might have more info on that and I'm sure that specs should say something about mold. I use mine to keep the saw dust and went I'm painting my cabinets and other customer projects

Q: When spray painting how do you clean overspray from the mask?

You have the instructions at the manual. Taking off the filters, clean the mask with warm water.

Q: Is this mask compatible with 3m p100 respirator cartridges?

I have 3M masks using 3M cartridge's; 60921 and 6001 and both fit this full face gas mask. This mask is my favorite to use. Easy on/off, easy adjust, no fogging.
