How Heavy of a load are these for when hauling ?

You can tell me where to use, I can tell you if it can be used. The safety pin is made of solid steel and can be used in many heavy machinery without problems. The other 1/4 pins are only 6MM, ours is 6.3MM, this is the standard 1/4 pin。 If you encounter any problems during use, please contact us, we'll do our absolute best for you to put things right.

Your description of this product says it is a square shaft but every photo you have shows a round shaft? Which is this please?

We usually say that the square shaft locking pin is a pin that can be used on a square shaft or a square tube. The spring wire of the square pin is square, so you can put it on the square tube and insert the pin into the pin hole of the square tube. Since most pinholes are round, we make the needle round. This square pin is also suitable for cylindrical pins. If the pinhole is square, it can be used as long as the size is comparable. hoping it is helpful to you. Thank you for your question.

Does this work with scaffolding?

Probably too light duty... I don't believe they would be strong enough for scaffolding application
