Does it work in California?

Hi Gevork! Yes, it works in California because our Livewire Volt GPS Tracker works anywhere in North America, including the United States, Mexico, and Canada only. And as long as AT&T signal is available in your area, it will work. All the best, Abby Brickhouse Security Customer Care

Can show device battery status on application screen?

It let's me know when my battery is low, I sometimes leave my dash camera on at night. Gift me warning on my app and my email. Very happy with this device.

Does the app provide tracking history? Since this device only tracks while in motion, it would be good to know the last known location.

HI Matt! Yes, it provides tracking history. The LiveWire Volt GPS Tracking device is a real-time tracking unit it does save daily reports for the past 90 days up to a year of tracking history this depends on the subscription plan that you choose. You are able to access this on the mobile application and as well as the web browser. All the best, Abby Brickhouse Security Customer Care
